To give everyone a chance to get to know their fellow Nick/Greg fans, we've moved this original introduction post (started in april 2009!) to the top of our community as a sticky:) Feel free to tell us about yourself and your love for our favorite CSI-guys. Below you'll find examples of questions you could answer, or just leave a smile to show us you are -still- around.
I was hoping if anyone is planning on buying anything from the American, UK, and/or Canadian Amazon sites for Christmas (including gift vouchers) if you'd use the appropriate Amazon link on CSI Slash please? Or if you have new or old Nick/Greg or any other slash/gen CSI stories not already archived that you're happy for me to archive could me please leave a comment or email me here?
The Paypal links are still on the CSI Christmas wish page, but the American Amazon referral fees are actually going quite well at least.
Hi, here a quick post from your mods. As you might have noticed, a lot of spam is being posted to communities all over LJ. So we've switched to moderated posting for a few days, just until the spam problem as been taken care off.
Hopefully it won't take to long for LJ to take care of this. Thanks for understanding!
Hey Y'all! I know it seems quiet in these parts and maybe that makes you feel like you're the only NicknGreg fan left, but that's not true! Our community is still growing on Tumblr, with new followers joining every day. In fact: we're pretty close to another milestone, as the counter is currently on 995! How exciting is that? We'll think of something special to do when we get to a thousand;)
This fandom may not get any more new Nick & Greg scenes in canon (although never say never with a TV movie apparently in the works;) but we'll always treasure our extensive wmtdb fanfic archive, our fabulous NicknGreg fanvids and with CSI still showing all over the world, we'll keep reaching out to new fans on whatever social network they want to hang out:)

after a couple of days of checking issues that came up with transferring the site to a new host and a day of fixing the archaic coding, we managed to get our WMTDB-fanfic archives accessible again. \o/ We are currently running on a mirror site for final testing, but the address remains the same now and in the future: www.nickandgreg.net
Come over and log in to upload stories or comment. You don't need to register if you just want to browse the archives -alfabetically by story or author- and read;)
If you do run into any problems, let us know! Thanks for your patience and support.
"Dear Mr. President" by ezra_t PAIRING: Nick/Greg RATING: R SUMMARY: So much pain and heartache. Suffering and yet no one even wants to see it. Or acknowledge it. Sure it's easier to pretend it's not there if you don't voice it but it is. And people are hurting because of your silence your complete act of indifference. You are the passive abusers. You hurt just as much as the fist that lands it's blows or the words that cut deep. You watch and but you don't see and you just don't care.
I really hope someone can help me with this...I have tried searching through the stories of authors that I regularly read, gone through this lj, looked through fanfic archives...I am desperate! I have read this story many times but I can no longer find it because I lost my favourites. I swear I could find it before simply by googling Nick/Greg and homophobia, but I can't find this fic anywhere. The whole premise is about Nick's homophobic buddies, and the budding feelings between Nick and Greg. Nick introduces Greg to some friends, and Nick's friends happen to have met Greg before this introduction, when he's wearing make up (and in a skirt, I believe?) outside a club waiting for a friend. These friends had thrown some homophobic slurs, and this unfortunately timing means Greg cannot be friends with these guys. (The unfortunate timing was Greg's thought; if I remember correctly, there was a line like, "But the timing was what it was." Greg thought that if they had met through Nick first before seeing Greg in a skirt, they could've laughed about it.)
Apparently the transfer of the wmtdb site to a new host didn't go as smoothly as we hoped. We are currently working like crazy behind the scenes of What Makes The Desert Beautiful to get things rolling again. The 60 day lock on the transfer has been lifted a couple of days ago and after the required reconsideration period (five days) we finally have complete access to the site for administration again. We planned all the promised maintenance within the next week. There will be a mod-post as soon as I can guarantee the wmtdb is fully functional again.
